The Free Plan Is Free Forever
WordByWord.io's core experience is free without restrictions: translate as much as you read, save unlimited words, and create as many collections as you like. The free plan's limits apply only to training sessions and AI generation — Premium removes them.

All seven training modes are available on both plans — the free plan limits how many sessions you can run per month, not which modes you can use.
What Happens When You Hit a Limit
Nothing is lost — the app simply pauses the limited action and shows a notice:
- Monthly limits (training sessions, AI term generations) reset at the start of each month.
- Daily limits (AI example generations) reset every day.
- If HD voiceover isn't available on your plan, the extension automatically falls back to the standard voice — playback keeps working.
Your data is never touched: all collections and terms stay intact whatever your plan is.
Upgrading to Premium
Open Subscription from the sidebar menu. Choose monthly or yearly billing — the yearly option gives you two months free. Payment runs through the secure Stripe checkout; access is unlocked immediately after payment.
Managing and Cancelling
The Billing menu item opens the Stripe portal where you can change the payment method or cancel the subscription. After cancellation, Premium features remain active until the end of the paid period, then the account returns to the free plan — with all your data in place.
